The Amarnath Yatra Tour Package is our standard plan for the Shri Amarnathji Yatra: two nights at Srinagar to collect the RFID card and settle in, two nights at Pahalgam at the head of the Lidder valley, the holy cave darshan on day 4 by helicopter or on foot, and a final night at Srinagar to rest before you fly home. It is built for first-time pilgrims, families and senior citizens who want the paperwork, hotels, vehicle and the helicopter sector handled by one team.
The plan runs on the traditional Pahalgam route, which gives the gentler road and the Pahalgam to Panchtarni helicopter. Pilgrims who prefer the shorter Baltal route, or who want to trek the full 32 km through Sheshnag and Mahagunas Pass, get the same package with the nights moved to Sonamarg or to camps on the trail. The Shrine Board fixes the yatra dates, the registration process and the helicopter fare each year. We book around those rules: hotels and the helicopter sector are matched to the date on your registration slip, and every plan keeps a pony or palki backup for the day the weather grounds the flights.
The order of sightseeing can change with weather, convoy timings, Shrine Board instructions and darshan queues.

Baltal option: on day 3 drive 95 km to Sonamarg or Baltal instead of Pahalgam, fly or trek 14 km from Baltal on day 4, and return to Srinagar on day 5. The price is the same.

Prices are for the 2027 season and are starting prices. Opening week and weekends cost more. Helicopter fares, pony and palki rates are set by the Shrine Board and the district administration each season. GST is extra where applicable.

All hotels have attached bathrooms, hot water and vegetarian meals. Rooms at Baltal and on the trail are tents run by the camp operators, so comfort there is basic on every category. Houseboats at Srinagar are moored on Dal or Nigeen Lake and reached by shikara.
Helicopter fares and pony rates are fixed each season by the Shrine Board and the district administration and are paid at the published rate.

Helicopter tickets are sold only through the Shrine Board's authorised channel, need the registration number and ID of each pilgrim, and are issued for one date and one sector. Flights run in clear weather between early morning and mid afternoon; grounded sorties are refunded by the operator. No, because the Shrine Board fixes the helicopter fare every season and sells tickets only through its authorised channel. We book the Pahalgam to Panchtarni or Baltal to Panchtarni sector for your registered date and add it at cost, about ₹9,800 and ₹5,600 round trip respectively in recent seasons.
The default plan is the Pahalgam route with a helicopter or a 2 day trek. If you prefer the shorter Baltal route, we move the day 3 night to Sonamarg or Baltal at no extra cost and you trek 14 km or fly from Baltal.
The Shrine Board announces the dates in spring. The yatra usually opens in late June or early July and closes on Raksha Bandhan in August. We take bookings with a refundable deposit until the dates are published.
We guide you through the online registration, the Compulsory Health Certificate from an authorised doctor and the RFID card collection at Srinagar, and we match your hotel and helicopter dates to the registration slot. The Shrine Board fee itself is paid by the pilgrim.
Pilgrims aged 13 to 70 with a valid CHC. Women more than six weeks pregnant are not permitted. The cave is at about 3,888 m, so anyone with heart, lung or blood pressure problems should take medical advice before booking.

Bad weather or a security pause can hold the yatra for a day or more. The package carries a pony, palki or trek backup and flexible hotel nights. Helicopter tickets for sectors that do not fly are refunded by the operator. Extra hotel nights beyond the plan are charged at the contracted rate.
