The 2027 fare is not published yet. Here is what it cost in recent seasons, what to budget for 2027, when the Shrine Board announces the rate, and how we book the ticket for your date the day sales open.
The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board publishes the helicopter fare for each season with the yatra schedule, usually in spring, after approving the operators. Until the 2027 rate is out, the fares of recent seasons are the best guide: about ₹2,800 one way from Baltal and ₹4,900 one way from Pahalgam.
Fares have risen a few hundred rupees in some seasons and stayed flat in others, so budgeting 10% above the recent rate is safe. Our helicopter-inclusive packages carry the recent fare in the price and charge only the difference if the 2027 fare is higher.
Bookings for 2027 are open with a refundable deposit. Registration is expected in April and ticket sales in May or June; we book the sector for your registered date on the opening day.

Usually in spring, with the yatra schedule and the list of approved operators, a few weeks before ticket sales open in May or June. We alert pilgrims on WhatsApp the day it is published.
Only through the Shrine Board's authorised online channel and the counters of the approved operators. Tickets are per pilgrim, for one date and one sector, against the yatra registration number. We book them for package pilgrims on the opening day.

No. It depends on Shrine Board and security approval each season and on weather every day. In some years no helicopter service was operated. Our packages keep a pony, palki or trek backup and refund the ticket if the sector does not fly.
About 6 km, 2 to 3 hours on foot each way. Ponies and palkis are available at the helipad at rates fixed by the district administration.
