Private charter versus the Shrine Board shuttle: what Arrow Aircraft and other charter operators can and cannot fly for the Amarnath Yatra, what a charter costs, and the shuttle packages most pilgrims take.
Arrow Aircraft Sales and Charters is a private charter company offering helicopter charters in India, including in Jammu and Kashmir. For the Amarnath Yatra, however, pilgrims can only land at Panchtarni on the Shrine Board shuttle flown by the operators the Board appoints each season; private charters need the Board's and the security agencies' permission for each flight and are not a regular alternative.
Where a charter is permitted, it is quoted per flying hour for the whole helicopter, typically several lakh rupees for a Srinagar to Panchtarni return, and suits a family or VIP group that wants its own aircraft. For everyone else the shuttle, at a few thousand rupees per seat, is the way to fly.
We quote charters on request subject to permission, and book the shuttle for the date on your registration slip through the authorised channel; the packages below include the shuttle ticket.

Operators and sectors change from season to season. The list for 2027 is published by the Shrine Board with the fare and the booking start date. Tickets for every operator are sold through the same authorised channel at the same fare.

No. It depends on Shrine Board and security approval each season and on weather every day. In some years no helicopter service was operated. Our packages keep a pony, palki or trek backup and refund the ticket if the sector does not fly.
About 6 km, 2 to 3 hours on foot each way. Ponies and palkis are available at the helipad at rates fixed by the district administration.
