Himalayan Heli Services is one of the long-standing operators of the Amarnath Yatra helicopter. How its sectors are booked, at what fare, and the packages that include the ticket.
Himalayan Heli Services has been among the operators appointed by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board for the yatra helicopter in several seasons, flying the Pahalgam to Panchtarni and Baltal to Panchtarni sectors. Like every approved operator it flies at the Shrine Board fare and sells its tickets through the authorised channel.
Booking a Himalayan Heli sortie is the same as booking any other: register for the yatra with the CHC, then book the sector for the registered date when sales open. The channel shows the operator against each slot; pilgrims cannot pay extra to choose an operator, and the service and timings are regulated by the Board.
We book Himalayan Heli or any other approved operator depending on where seats exist for your date, and include the ticket in the helicopter packages below. The operator list for 2027 is published by the Board in spring.

Operators and sectors change from season to season. The list for 2027 is published by the Shrine Board with the fare and the booking start date. Tickets for every operator are sold through the same authorised channel at the same fare.

No. It depends on Shrine Board and security approval each season and on weather every day. In some years no helicopter service was operated. Our packages keep a pony, palki or trek backup and refund the ticket if the sector does not fly.
About 6 km, 2 to 3 hours on foot each way. Ponies and palkis are available at the helipad at rates fixed by the district administration.
