The helicopter companies for the Amarnath Yatra are appointed by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board each season through a tender, with sectors allotted to each. In past seasons the approved operators have included Himalayan Heli Services, Global Vectra Helicorp and Pawan Hans; the list for 2027 is published with the fare and the booking start date.
Every operator flies at the same Shrine Board fare and sells through the same authorised channel, so the company does not change the price or the booking process. What differs is the sector allotted, the number of aircraft and the sortie timings, which the channel shows when you book.
We book whichever operator holds seats for your registered date and sector. Private charters outside the Shrine Board service, where permitted, are quoted separately.

No. It depends on Shrine Board and security approval each season and on weather every day. In some years no helicopter service was operated. Our packages keep a pony, palki or trek backup and refund the ticket if the sector does not fly.
About 6 km, 2 to 3 hours on foot each way. Ponies and palkis are available at the helipad at rates fixed by the district administration.
