What the helicopter costs: the per-sector fare set by the Shrine Board each season, the round trip, the pony and palki from Panchtarni, and the total a pilgrim spends on the darshan day. Fares from recent seasons below; the 2027 fare is published with the schedule.
The Amarnath helicopter fare is fixed by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board with the approved operators before each season and is the same on every booking channel. It is charged per pilgrim per sector; children above 13 pay the full fare and there are no concessions by age.
In recent seasons the Baltal to Panchtarni sector cost about ₹2,800 one way and the Pahalgam to Panchtarni sector about ₹4,900 one way, so a round trip was roughly ₹5,600 or ₹9,800 per pilgrim. The fare includes the helipad fees; it does not include the pony or palki for the 6 km from Panchtarni to the cave.
Our packages add the fare at the published rate and refund it if the sortie does not fly; the helicopter-inclusive packages below already carry it in the price.

No. The fare covers the flight and helipad fees only. The 6 km from Panchtarni to the cave is on foot, or by pony or palki at the district rate, paid locally.
No. Every pilgrim aged 13 to 70 pays the same fare. Children below 13 and adults above 70 cannot undertake the yatra.
Only through the Shrine Board's authorised online channel and the counters of the approved operators. Tickets are per pilgrim, for one date and one sector, against the yatra registration number. We book them for package pilgrims on the opening day.

No. It depends on Shrine Board and security approval each season and on weather every day. In some years no helicopter service was operated. Our packages keep a pony, palki or trek backup and refund the ticket if the sector does not fly.
About 6 km, 2 to 3 hours on foot each way. Ponies and palkis are available at the helipad at rates fixed by the district administration.
